MAURICE LACROIX WATCHES
Maurice Lacroix was founded in 1975 as a part of Desco von Schulthess company of Zurich. It was born as a company in the field of silk trade but from 1946 it entered in the luxury watches world. Despite the young age of the brand, from 1980 Maurice Lacroix gained great popularity, so that the company finished to produce for others, focusing solely on the production of his own products. Today the Maison, made its way among the luxury watch brands, specializing in mechanical models.
WATCHES WITH IN-HOUSE MOVEMENTS
The development of a calibrated movement is sign of great care, ability and product quality. When a company produce his own movement, it can be called Manufacture. In fact the company, from 1990, was already specialized in mechanical watches, when in 2006, it establishes a three-year collaboration with the ingenious watchmaker Andreas Strehler. Together they planned the first chronograph watch with ML 106 mechanism. It was entirely realized inside Manufacture. Since then, the Maurice Lacroix watch and jewelry house continue to improve and realize his own mechanism.
MAURICE LACROIX: HINTS OF HISTORY
The company launched his first watch at the same year of his foundation and called himself Maurice Lacroix, in honor of a Board of Directors member. During the neo-brand development, Maurice Lacroix died. Considering that the heart and the soul of this man were completely absorbed by the company, Peter Brunner the successor, gave the watch company his name.
