Longines Swiss House history started in 1832, when the company was founded by Auguste Agassiz, a swiss craftsman who began a brilliant international career in a few years, specializing in pocket watches trade. From 1880 the company official register his brand, for that it is one of the oldest brand in the field of sport watches, thanks to the realization of high precision chronograph movements and sponsoring numerous events in the sports world.

From the Universal exhibition of Paris, in 1900, Longines watches got different prizes and awards because they always offered great innovations of design and real works of jewelry both elegant and sporty. Among the historical dates we remember: 1912, the first realization of sports timing system based on breaking the wool thread and 1954, with the realization of the first quartz watch.
