Blancpain’s history is the oldest of the world, created by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain in his house in Villeret, a craftsman who began in his early years to be successful in the field of precision mechanical watchmaking. His heirs succeeded in carrying on this success, so in 1815 his nephew Frédéric-Louis turned his laboratory into a modern watch industry series. The business lasted until 1932 when Jehan-Jacques, the last great grandson, conferred control of the brand to some collaborators. In 2002, they give a new explosion to this property, making quality research its goal.
